Raised in the endless expanse of strip malls and twenty-four hour coffee shops that make up the suburbs of east Toronto, The Eatons formed in 2005 with a mission: to subvert the inertia of suburban living into exuberant slices of classicist pop. Comprised of Boris Chan (vocals, guitar), Sebastian Franks (guitars, vocals), Jacky Siu (bass), and Joe El Habbaki (drums), The Eatons distill the reverb-drenched sonics of the Stone Roses, the suburban melancholy of the Cure and the propulsive backbeat of early U2 into a suburban soundscape that is uniquely Toronto.
