Stephanie Darmanin
Written by Niki Stad
When Stephanie started modeling, she quickly realized that her favorite modeling style is runway, saying “I prefer runway and commercial modeling because it is very interactive and exciting to be in front of a crowd. I also love being able to wear the latest fashions and partake in special events.”
It’s very important for Stephanie to keep her body in shape, not just because she is a model but because she is very conscious of her health. Of course she doesn’t mind looking and feeling good either! She normally eats very healthy and regularly exercises by running, core workouts, weights and athletics.
When asked about her hair color, Brunette or blonde? She goes for BOTH! “Brunette one day, blonde the next, and then brunette with blonde highlights the next! Why ever settle for just one? Trust me, both have a lot of fun” she says.
She bravely talks about her weaknesses which is being a perfectionist, trying to do everything at once and not getting enough sleep and finally being very bad in saving and great at spending.
When we asked her what makes her different from the rest of the models she says, “Physically, I am different because I have a few small scars and moles (beauty marks!) in various places on my body, but personally I feel that I have exceptional communication skills. Many years of experience working for a multitude of different companies (sales, food, marketing etc.), and I am skilled in many artistic and athletic areas. These include singing, playing piano and guitar, basketball, football, volleyball, snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, cooking, sketching, painting and much, much more. I am also addicted to social media and am therefore quite aware of the world around me, thus increasing my social capabilities :) In addition, I hope to major in English and double-minor in Religion and Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Toronto and I am part of a sorority call Alpha Gamma Delta, Tau chapter.”
She’d love to have a large family one day. Through her life, most of Stephanie’s family lived half-way around the world in Malta. She only has 7 family members living in Canada, and so she hopes to one day marry and have 3 or 4 children of her own. However she is hoping within the next 5 years she will have graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor (or masters) of Arts, and if not a booming singer and model, enrolled in college for marketing, PR or wedding planning.
