Daniel Fotografie… who is this guy? Not sure, but I know this much, its not hard to know him! You can simply ask him a question and he'll answer. He is Daniel the photographer. He has a personality that will grow on you in seconds, and an abundance of energy that could fill a room...it made me wish to work with him, and I am not sure why, but he is suddenly offering me a photo shoot, lol.

Daniel was born in Romania and arrived in Canada when he was just 5. He is close to his family, and they are a strong support in his life. I really liked the fact that he is so appreciative of his parents for what he has become. All to often we reach some goal and suddenly we forget who's around us and how we got there.

However, Daniel is successful in his work but his career didn’t start in photography, at first he was making videos and he couldn’t even imagine “photography” as something to be interesting for him. So He explained how he got into this field, “one day my girlfriend wanted to shoot with someone who set off my "creep alarm" and I was uneasy about her wanting to do a shoot with that person so I offered to do it myself. I asked my uncle to borrow his camera (he was super cool about it), and that was a little while ago... now I'm here!” Sometimes there are things that are meant for us, but we don’t see them. You have to get lucky once and a while that destiny push you in to it, but you have to be smart to grasp the opportunity.

Daniel is really the perfect kind of person to be a photographer because he loves people no matter what, he also added “In addition, I enjoy photographing urban patterns around the city (thick windows, bricks, fences, etc.).” He's the kind of person who can look around and find the beauty in the moment. This is easily understood when you take a look at the range of variety in his portfolio.

Normally when I ask photographers who's their favorite model to shoot with, they have trouble answering this, because if they name anyone, the other models tend to get upset. Interestingly enough though, Daniel has no trouble answering, in this case the answer works in his favor. He says; “My girlfriend, she is the model I've climbed the stairs of photography with. Every new photographic technique I've pushed out there has been tested on her. She is the one who I could always go to in order to try new things.” Having said that, Daniel prefers models who are relaxed and come off as their true self at the photo shoot. Usually he makes sure that the attitude and vibes are laid back and the atmosphere is creative and the art just follows naturally.

When I asked him about beauty his response was; “Beauty is timeless, it's within, and it's not something you can fake. As a photographer when I see a girl with heavy makeup on I think she's insecure.”

He is always ready to take clean and true advice on his works, specially from those who are established and have a great portfolio, so that he can keep growing with each new discovery.
